This study aims to explore the differences in logistic delivery timeliness and accuracy between buying agent platforms and traditional e-commerce platforms. The findings will help consumers understand which service might better meet their needs based on their shopping preferences.
Data was collected from 100 participants who used both buying agent platforms and e-commerce platforms for at least five separate purchases over six months. Satisfaction with delivery times and accuracies of orders were rated post-purchase.
Preliminary results indicate a higher percentage of dissatisfaction with buying agents due to delays and errors in delivery. Conversely, e-commerce platforms were rated more favorably in terms of consistent delivery timelines and higher delivery accuracy.
This section explores potential reasons for the discrepancy, such as the intermediary nature of buying agents, which adds complexity and time to logistics compared to direct e-commerce business operations.
E-commerce platforms generally outperform buying agent platforms in terms of delivery reliability. Future studies could focus on optimizing buying agent processes to improve their logistics capabilities.
