With the rapid growth of e-commerce and shopping agent platforms, the demand for efficient and reliable logistics services has become increasingly critical. This study aims to compare the timeliness and accuracy of logistics delivery between shopping agent platforms and traditional e-commerce platforms, shedding light on the factors that influence these aspects and providing insights for future improvements.
Shopping agent platforms, which act as intermediaries to purchase and deliver goods from international markets, and e-commerce platforms, which directly sell products to consumers, both rely heavily on logistics networks. However, their operational models and customer expectations often differ, leading to variations in delivery performance.
The study analyzed data from 500 orders placed on popular shopping agent platforms and e-commerce platforms over a three-month period. Key metrics such as delivery time, package accuracy, and customer satisfaction were assessed. Surveys were also conducted with both consumers and logistics providers to understand their perspectives.
The study highlights the trade-offs between timeliness and accuracy in logistics delivery across shopping agent and e-commerce platforms. While e-commerce platforms excel in speed, shopping agent platforms cater to niche markets by offering access to a wider range of products. Both platforms can benefit from optimizing their logistics processes to enhance overall performance and customer satisfaction.
